Thanks for visiting the new Cape Photos daily blogs. About three years ago Lenka and I started our first daily sites which can still be seen for now at www.capephotos.net/daily_lenka and www.capephotos.net/daily_don. The idea for these sites came about while Lenka and I were thinking of a way to feel closer together while living half a world apart. Lenka eventually moved to the States and we stopped doing the daily photos, well the year and a half is over and Lenka is again on the other side of the world so here come the new dailies.
The old daily site was written by me very quickly using PHP and MySql from scratch which was a fun project but I just don’t have time anymore to work on it so this time around we opted to use WordPress. This not only makes it easier to maintain but it allows for comments and for us to add more than one photo a day, for those days when we just can’t decide which one we like the best.
